Class Description: Learn how to create flat woven patterns with half round and square wires. Students will be shown how to properly set up the wires to make it easier to weave without tangles. Students will also learn some tricks to make the repeating segments uniform and flowing. We will work on one pattern, but the demos will include discussion on how to create different designs with various other numbers of wires.
Materials Kit (included in price): Color step by step instructions, copper wire in 2 gauges, jump rings, use of tools and consumables. (Upgrade to silver kit available in class $41.)
Students must bring the following tools:
- Sharpie
- Chain nose pliers
- Round nose pliers
- Flat nose pliers
- Nylon pliers
- Side cutters (flush)
- Painters masking tape ¾” -1” wide
- Task light recommended
- Work mat recommended
- 12” ruler
- Magnifying glasses (as needed)
