Class Description: This class introduces the fundamentals of wire-weaving. Students will learn the most basic weave while creating several shapes that can be put together into a fun necklace. Skills learned in this class can be used to create bracelets, necklaces and bails for pendants. The focus of the class will be on learning the technique and improving the skill level. Students will learn the secrets for keeping their weaves even and consistent.
Materials Kit (included in price): Color step by step instructions, copper wire in 3 gauges, jump rings, beads, use of tools and consumables. (Upgrade to sterling silver will be available in class for $36.)
Students must bring the following tools:
- Sharpie
- Chain nose pliers
- Round nose pliers
- Flat nose pliers
- Nylon pliers
- Needle tool or awl
- Side cutters (flush)
- Painters masking tape ¾” -1” wide
- Task light recommended
- Work mat recommended
- 12” ruler
- Magnifying glasses (as needed)
