Skill Level: Intermediate
Pre-requisite: Must know how to solder sterling silver.
Class Description: There are many approaches to prong settings, this class will present yet another. Although I will show you an easier way to solder prongs, you will still need steady hands and a good understanding of soldering silver.
Materials Kit (included in price): Sterling silver stock, semi-precious stone (may vary).
Students must bring the following tools:
- Sharpie
- Chain nose pliers
- Round nose pliers
- Flat nose pliers
- Nylon pliers
- Side cutters (flush)
- Nylon looping pliers
- Half round pliers (optional)
- Heavy duty side cutters
- Parallel pliers
- Multi-looping pliers
- Hollow scraper (optional)
- Scratch brush, brass (optional)
- Fine tweezers
- Needle files
- Prong pliers or prong pusher
- Bench pin
- Magnifying glasses (as needed)
- Super grip gloves (optional)
