Pre-requisite: none

Class Description: Make a statement with this fine silver ring that boasts a semi-precious or fused dichroic glass cabochon. Explore your creative side as you choose your own textures, accents, shapes and embellishments to make a unique ring that expresses your style. You’ll learn to expertly  size rings in metal clay, how to shape, refine and finish your ring, and how to use a kiln for firing. 

Project Completion: students will have enough class time to finish the project. Due to firing constraints, you’ll need to return to pick up your ring at the end of the day. Allow 10 minutes to pick up your ring and set your stone.

Materials Included: Enough for one ring (Fine silver metal clay (lump and syringe), fine silver bezel cup, fine silver embeddable bail backs, semi-precious gemstone or dichroic glass cabochon, fiber paper, use of all tools and shared consumables).

Required to bring:  

  • Magnifiers as needed.

All metal clay tools will be supplied by the instructor.
