Class Description:Craft your own fine silver metal clay spinner ring—a perfect accessory for fidgeting anytime! In this workshop, you'll learn the secrets of creating a spinning outer ring and customize it with your choice of textures and embellishments to reflect your unique style. Develop essential skills, including sizing rings in metal clay, shaping, refining, and finishing, as well as kiln-firing techniques. Please note that firing will need to be completed after class due to time constraints.
Project Completion: students will have enough class time to finish the project. However, due to firing and polishing, rings will be available to be picked up the following day after 12pm, or we can arrange shipping if needed.
Materials Included: Enough for one ring (fine silver metal clay (lump and syringe), teflon strip, one time use ring size plug, strip of Papyrus kiln paper, cubic zirconia gemstones).
Required to bring:
- Magnifiers as needed.
All metal clay tools will be supplied by the instructor.
