Skill Level: Intermediate

Pre-requisite: Must have some soldering experience. Must be proficient at making a "single spiral chain maille".

Class Description: In this class, you'll deepen your soldering skills by creating a timeless ring that combines chain maille with silversmithing techniques. Each jump ring will be individually soldered, allowing you to refine your precision. To make the most of our time, students are required to be proficient in the spiral chain weave before attending, as this technique will not be covered in class. This focus will ensure we can dedicate our attention to soldering and ring fabrication.

Project Completion: students will have enough class time to finish the project.

Materials Included: Enough for one ring (sterling silver stock).

Required to bring:  

• Sharpie
• Chain nose pliers x2
• Nylon pliers (optional)
• Half-round pliers (optional)
• Fine tweezers 
• Brass brush (optional)
• Super grip gloves (optional) 
• Solder pick with shield (optional) 
• Magnifying glasses (as needed)
