Class Description: In this workshop, participants will create a striking mixed-metal ring featuring a gemstone of their choice. Using gold-filled wire and sterling silver, you'll master essential techniques like bezel setting and ring making to design a bold statement piece. The combination of textures and contrasting metals adds a modern and versatile element, making this ring a timeless.
Project Completion: students will have enough class time to finish the project.
Materials Included: Enough for one ring (sterling silver stock, gold-fillled stock, semi-precious stone).
Required to bring:
• Sharpie
• Chain nose pliers
• Nylon pliers (optional)
• Parallel pliers (optional)
• Half-round pliers
• Fine tweezers
• Hollow scraper (optional)
• Bench pin w/ 3" c-clamp
• Brass brush (optional)
• Bezel rocker
• Super grip gloves (optional)
• Solder pick with shield (optional)
• Magnifying glasses (as needed)
