Tab Set Pendant

Pre-requisite: Must be comfortable with jeweler’s saw and soldering.
Class Description: In this technique-packed class, you'll learn how to make a tab set bezel, a unique bail and fun embellishments on a statement pendant.
Project Completion: students will have enough class time to finish the project.
Materials Kit (included in price): Enough material for one pendant (sterling silver stock, large oval cabochon).
Required Tools:
- Jewelry Pliers - Chain nose pliers, Round nose pliers, Flat nose pliers,
- Flush side cutters
- Metal shears
- #0 and/or #2 cut flat hand file
- Jeweler’s saw and size 2, 1, 1/0 or 2/0 saw blades
- Bench pin
- Bur Life or Cut lube
- Jeweler’s epoxy
- Scribe
- Digital calipers or dividers
- Nylon pliers
- Sandpaper in assortment of grits (180 - 400),
- Drill press or flex shaft with assorted bits/burs for polishing
- Snap-on sanding discs with mandrel
- Bench block
- Nylon or rawhide mallet
- Solder Set-up, including hard, medium and easy solder
- Solder pick
- Liver of sulfur or preferred patina (optional)
- Polishing compound (optional)
- Ultra fine Sharpie marker
- Cross peen hammer (optional)
