Class Description: Celebrate spring by creating a stunning dimensional fine silver metal clay pendant! In this class, you'll learn the fundamentals of working with metal clay, including shaping in 3D and adding intricate textural details. Bring your design to life with a fired-in-place cubic zirconia gemstone for added color and sparkle.
Discover how to set fireable stones and craft an eye-catching, one-of-a-kind bail to complement your pendant. You'll gain hands-on experience using a jewelry kiln for firing and explore professional finishing techniques to complete your piece.
Project Completion: students will have enough class time to finish the project. Due to the firing requirements of this project, finished pendants will be available for pick-up the following day after 12pm, or we can arrange shipping if needed.
Materials Included: Enough for one pendant (Fine silver metal clay (lump and syringe), cubic zirconia gemstones, empty syringe for extruding, use of tools and shared consumables).
Required to bring:
- Magnifiers as needed.
All metal clay tools will be supplied by the instructor.
